Revisiting Worlds

Whether it's books or movies, revisiting these materials is always fun because they allow you to reflect how you see that material - maybe you don't like that scene anymore, or conversely actually gained a new found love for it, maybe you found yourself resonating with the theme of a book, and coming back to the book after different life experiences, you find yourself resonating with the theme in a different way, or find a completely new theme.

I have already re-read a few books: Babel or the Necessity of Violence, The Secret History, and Frankenstein; or, The Modern Prometheus ,which had me thinking of aspects I picked up on the second time. For example, seeing Frankenstein as an allegory for philistinism, or relating to how the Hampden campus reacted and mourned Bunny's death. The goal of this blog is to track what allowed me to find new things in reading these books again, and allow me to do that with other books I have on my shelf to read next.
